Our website has been updated!

We launched an update to our website in the early hours of Saturday morning. It’s dubbed “version 3″ and the changes are quite significant.

The main things you will notice are:

  • The website design has improved. It’s a lot neater, it isn’t as wide as before and it works in much better proportion with different screen resolutions.
  • The country flags on the top right. Yes, we’ve started showing different content to different countries based on IP delivery and the user’s preference. The countries currently supported are Ireland, UK, US and France.
    This allows us to show local currency pricing, local phone numbers and other details relevant to each country on the website. For example, you can see how www.spiralhosting.ie/contact has our Irish phone number and www.spiralhosting.com/uk/contact has our UK phone number. Localized content only shows on some pages at the moment, but the infrastructure is now there for us to fully roll it out.
  • We now have a multi language website. The first language we’ve added is French (www.spiralhosting.fr). A sizeable amount of our customers speak French, and we also hope more will join us!
  • We now support multiple currencies. You can purchase in Euros, Pounds or Dollars depending upon your preference. Prices in Pounds and Dollars are updated daily on our website based on our base currency (Euros) so we always offer the best price.
  • We have added new products such as GlobalSign SSL certificates and .fr domain names.
  • We’ve also updated the templates on our Client Area, Company Blog and Status Blog to reflect the new design.

Version 3 is a big improvement but it’s only the first step. We have more updates planned shortly as we add more languages, currencies, products and features.

Spiral Hosting available on Live Chat

We have updated the live chat application on our website to make it easier to speak with us. There is a link to our Live Chat on the right hand side of every page. It’s perfect if you have questions about our products or need our technical support team to answer questions.

We are also expanding the hours Live Chat is available, and we continue to offer support by email, skype and phone, including our ‘Let Us Call You’ service.

Plans for New Website

It’s a busy week ahead at Spiral Hosting as we prepare to launch our new website.

It will be launched in three stages:

Monday – main website
Tuesday – client area
Wednesday – company blog

It’s working fine in our test area so it should be a straight-forward change-over!

Spiral Hosting Client Area Upgrade

Our client area is currently being upgraded. We didn’t realise it was having problems receiving some emails – so apologies to any customers who have not received a reply in the past few days. After the upgrade, all the emails should come through and we’ll reply as quickly as possible.

Service Improvements – New Client Area

I’m delighted to announce that we have upgraded our Client Area!

The Client Area allows customers to manage their hosting accounts, domain names and SSL certificates, and now includes a new multi-language website with secure credit/debit card processing, PDF invoices, instant account activation, and live chat.

All customers should have received an email with new login details for the Client Area. Over the past few days we have imported all the account details, hosting packages, domain names and other products to the new system.

We would ask customers to please take a moment to check all the details on your account are correct, and your address and contact telephone numbers are up to date.

It’s still early (7.33am!), but apart from a few hosting packages having the wrong expiry date, the migration has been perfect! We’d also like to hear your comments and feedback about this upgrade so please do get in touch.
