Our new servers are running PHP 5.2.3 and MySQL 4.1.22.
PHP 4 will remain on all other services for the time being, so please contact us if you need PHP 5 on your account.
Spiral Hosting have created a new guide to domain name extensions. The guide on Spiral Hosting’s website contains background information to popular generic and country-code domain names.
The guide is aimed at people who cannot decide which top level domain names to buy. It provides basic advice on what domain extensions are available to them and if there are any registration requirements.

More email! With immediate effect Spiral Hosting have increased the number of email accounts on our Basic Hosting package from 100 to 250.
E107 content management system is now available to install through ‘Site Software’ in your control panel.

You can register for 3V vouchers as long as you are over 16, live in Ireland or the UK, have an email address and a mobile phone. You don’t need a bank account and there are no lengthy application forms, credit checks or interest charges. 3V vouchers are available online from 3V Ireland and 3V UK, and are also sold by most Payzone retailers.
A few customers have expressed an interest in purchasing hosting using 3V vouchers, so this is to clarify, both Spiral Hosting’s payment processors (2Checkout and PayPal) accept 3V vouchers. Simply enter the voucher number and the expiry date like it’s a normal debit/credit card, and the money will be credited to your Spiral Hosting account balance as usual, once it’s been processed and passed the fraud checks.
