Firefox usage growing fast in Ireland

Tuesday, July 17th, 2007

Via Damien Mulley, a Xiti Monitor survey has found that Firefox usage in Ireland has reached 38.6%. That’s 10 points above the EU average of 28%.

The results show just how important it is that websites are accessible across all browsers, particularly here in Ireland. Designers really need to take this into consideration more, as Firefox looks set to continue growing while Internet Explorer plays catch up.

This month so far SpiralHosting.com has 43% of visitors using Firefox and 46% using Internet Explorer.

cPanel hosting: x-series skin upgrades

Monday, July 9th, 2007

Web hosting customers on our Linux servers: Please note that this week all accounts will be migrated from the old cPanel x1 skin to the new x3 skin.

The cPanel x3 skin is a big improvement to the look, design and features offered by our hosting control panel. The x-series skins were designed to improve functionality, and x3 really makes life simple. Customers are able to customise how their control panel is laid-out and instantly view account statistics.

The changes could mean some customers get an error if they login to cPanel using a skin-specific URL such as:
http://spiralhosting.com/cpanel/frontend/x/index.html

…as the URL will be changing to:
http://spiralhosting.com/cpanel/frontend/x3/index.html

To ensure that you can login to cPanel using any skin please go to:

If customers have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact support who will guide you through the new x3 hosting control panel.
