Thank you to everyone who visited our stand at the Technology 4 Business exhibition at the RDS Dublin. The Spiral Hosting stand received a lot of interest. It was great to see existing customers coming to talk to us, and lots of new clients joining us.

We met lots of small businesses, professionals and students who are sick of paying too much, using slow servers and bad customer service from other hosts. We were delighted to be able to beat or match so many other companies.

What are we celebrating?
We’re back at the RDS today for the annual ICT Expo, or as it’s now known, Technology 4 Business. We have a bigger team than ever and we hope to make an impression.

And how are we celebrating?
By giving away 100 free .info domains to anybody who wants one.

And why free domains?
We thought they’d come in useful. We thought it would be interesting to see what people will use their free domain name for.

How to get your free .info?
Send us an email. Include ‘free domain’ in the subject and the domain name you want in the main text. We’ll get back to you within 48 hours and get your domain registered.

And what about the small print?
As well as our Terms for Special Promotions there is another rule for this promotion:
“The customer receiving the free domain allows Spiral Hosting to list their name, the domain name they requested and the reason why on a public website.”

By integrating GoldHelpDesk.com into our Accounts Area, it means that for us it’s a lot less work providing the best possible customer care as customers only use one method of contact. It makes it much more organised; we can look at someones support history and if the problem is recurring we can work that bit harder to fix it. Also, it’s much handier for customers have one username and password to access all areas. We aim higher and achieve better so you, the customer, is always satisfied. For me, that’s Superior Support!

We’ve had many suggestions that we need one, and in my opinion, blogs give us a much better voice than any other media. Many of our customers are bloggers so I’m hoping to get them involved.

So why have we created this blog?

• Innovation. If anyone has any innovative ideas to make Spiral that bit better we want to know!
• I always enjoy receiving feedback, and if customers have any criticism then I welcome that too as it gives us a chance to improve.
• Promotions. We plan on doing a lot more promotions. We’ve started it already, but it will become more apparent over the next few weeks as our website improves.

Why not offer a forum?
Most hosting companies offer a forum, including FastProvider before we recently acquired it. We decided not to offer a forum because we find that too many people used it for support, which is fair enough really, but we’d prefer if all the support questions came into one place… which I’ll talk more about shortly.
